The VJing process begins with careful referencing and theme selection. This stage is all about gathering inspiration, understanding the vibe of the event, and choosing the right aesthetic to match the music. Whether it's a deep dive into abstract visuals, a narrative-driven concept, or a specific color palette, this phase sets the tone for everything that follows.
When preparing a live VJ set, I collaborate closely with clients to understand their vision. I design and curate custom visual content tailored to the music, ensuring it complements the energy of the performance. This involves meticulous planning, creating animations, and setting up responsive visuals for real-time adaptation during the event
STEP 2: Consistency and Fluidity
In the content production phase, my focus is on consistency and fluidity. I create layers that evolve over time, building each scene with background textures, dynamic effects modules, and text, all within a 3D environment. This stage is where the magic happens—where each element comes together to form a cohesive visual narrative. The goal is to keep the visuals smooth and interconnected, ensuring they flow seamlessly throughout the performance. When it’s time to go live, real-time effects are essential in VJing, creating a dynamic, immersive experience that evolves with the live music. Using stock Resolume effects, I ensure smooth transitions and seamless visuals that are responsive to the energy of the crowd. With the foundation laid in the previous phases, I manipulate effects, adjust layers, and blend content live to match the vibe of the performance. This synchronization of visuals with sound, motion, and audience interaction enhances the atmosphere, making each performance unique and impactful. The result is a captivating visual experience that stays fluid and in tune with the moment.
